Taking place at lunchtime on Thursday, 17 September, ‘When Top Dressage Meets Top Eventing’ will bring together two very different disciplines, as Lucinda and Ruby share their experience and explore what top-level dressage and eventing can learn from one another.

Expect a fascinating insight into two very different worlds of top-level horse sport as Ruby takes to the arena aboard one of her advanced horses, showcasing the training, techniques and movements used at the highest level of dressage.
With Lucinda on the ground, the pair will put dressage and eventing side by side, revealing where their training philosophies meet, where they differ and how the principles of dressage can play a crucial role in producing a successful event horse.
From advanced movements to the fundamentals behind producing horses for the very top of the sport, this promises to be a Masterclass packed with expert insight, experience and plenty to take away.

Lucinda Green
A true legend of eventing, Lucinda Green is a six-time Badminton Horse Trials winner, World and European Champion and Olympic silver medallist.
With an extraordinary career at the very top of international eventing, Lucinda brings decades of experience in producing, competing and understanding elite event horses, alongside a passion for sharing her knowledge with the next generation of riders.
Ruby Hughes
Ruby Hughes is an international Grand Prix dressage rider and coach who has represented Great Britain at five European Youth Championships.
A team bronze medallist in 2023, Ruby now competes at Grand Prix level and is passionate about coaching riders of all abilities, including helping event riders use dressage training to get the very best from their horses.
A New Addition to Thursday at Blenheim
The ‘When Top Dressage Meets Top Eventing’ Masterclass will take place at lunchtime on Thursday, 17 September and is included with admission to the Agria Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials.
Alongside the Masterclass, Thursday will see the first combinations head down the centre line for the CCI4-L dressage*, as some of the world’s leading event riders begin their Blenheim campaigns.
