The Agria Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials is delighted to welcome back Retraining of Racehorses (RoR)for 2026, with two days of dedicated competition celebrating the versatility and success of former racehorses in their second careers.
Taking place on Thursday 17 and Friday 18 September, the RoR at Blenheim Palace competition will feature Championship Dressage from Prelim through to Advanced Medium, alongside Tattersalls RoR Showing Series qualifiers. From elegant dressage tests to beautifully presented showing classes, the competition showcases the athleticism, trainability and adaptability of Thoroughbreds beyond the racecourse.
Whether you’re a retrained racehorse owner, a Thoroughbred enthusiast or simply passionate about equestrian sport, the RoR classes offer an inspiring insight into what these remarkable horses can achieve after racing. Competitors from across the country will come together to celebrate the partnership between horse and rider, demonstrating the exceptional retraining and care that allows former racehorses to thrive across a variety of disciplines.



Entries Now Open
Entries for the 2026 Retraining of Racehorses competition are now open via Horse Monkey. Dressage Championship classes are open to qualified horse-and-rider combinations, while the Tattersalls RoR Showing Series qualifiers are open subject to the eligibility criteria for each class. Entries close on 1 September 2026, and competitors must hold a current RoR Competition Membership.
