Eventer turned dressage rider Jonty Evans is joined by PR & Marketing guru Rhea Freeman as hosts of ‘Beyond The Blenheim Stable’, a chat stage which will have the perfect mix of education, laughs and insights into some familiar equestrian faces.
Among the line up so far is British para-equestrian Natasha Baker OBE. Natasha is a gold medal winning Paralympian, having won at London 2012 on Cabral. At the same Games, she also took gold in the Freestyle event. This was quite a debut! London might have been Natasha’s first paralympic Games, but she’s also competed at Rio (2016) and Tokyo (2020), bringing home more gold medals on Cabral and Keystone Dawn Chorus (2020). She was also awarded an OBE for equestrianism in 2021.
In addition, Rhea and Jonty will be joined by Claire Williams, the Executive Director of the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA). The organisation is well known for its support of the equestrian trade, but also when it comes to safety standards, for the BETA standard with its turquoise label on body protectors all over the UK and beyond. Claire herself is also a director and committee member of many other equestrian organisations, including British Equestrian and the Equine Fitters Council. Claire also convenes the European standard committee responsible for writing hat standards and is a member of the Body Protector committee in Europe and the UK.
For those who are interested in finding out how top-level riders keep their nerves under control and confidence in check, the next guest may be of interest! Tracey Cole is one of the UK’s leading equestrian focused NLP trainers. Tracey works with riders suffering with confidence and mindset issues. Her clientele ranges from those who are anxious due to previous experiences all the way up to people competing at the top of the sport, looking to improve their performance.
Our lead charity partner, The British Horse Society will be featuring on the stage on Saturday, bringing with them some exciting guests to discuss equine careers and the excellent work they do as a charity. Roly Owers, Chief Executive of World Horse Welfare will also be joining Rhea to discuss social license.
If that hasn’t whetted your appetite enough, we will also be welcoming Laura Collett MBE, hot off the back of her success winning Team Gold at the FEI European Eventing Championships. She will also be joined by several other top riders.
After their stunning Spectacle of Equitation performances each day, Freddy Steele and Holly Barber will join the chat stage as will Geoff Billington and Tom McEwen. In addition, we are welcoming Ashleigh Wicheard, winner of the Magnolia Cup in 2022, Annabel Holmes an Equine Ecologist and British 5* rider, David Britnell who began his Blenheim journey in the Pony Club Eventer Challenge in 2010. Influencer panels might be more your thing – join Lucy Robinson, Flo Carter, Rhi Davies, Alanna Clarke, Miri Hackett and more across the four days!
At the end of each day, the leading riders in each class will also join us for a roundup of the day’s events, giving an insight into their thoughts before the next day’s challenge and how they feel their horses are going.
